Tenvir FM

Tenvir FM is an antiviral prescription medication that contains 300mg of Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate. Tenvir FM is used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs to treat HIV-1 infection in adults and children aged 2 years and above. This drug belongs to the group of HIV medications called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). This group works by blocking the HIV enzyme reverse transcriptase which then prevents the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) from multiplying, reducing the amount of the virus in the body.

HIV medications are usually taken in combination with other HIV medicines to help infected people live healthier and longer lives. However, HIV medications can not cure HIV infection or AIDS and patients may still experience other infections or diseases associated with HIV infection.

Tenvir FM is also effective in treating HBV infection in adults and children aged 12 years and older.
